Course Aims

To equip the trainee with the skills to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) competently.

Course Duration

3 hours.

Suitable Candidates

This course is for members of the public and workplace candidates who wish to be trained in the use of an AED machine.

Pre-Course Requirements

Candidates must be competent in Basic Life Support skills. Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and be able to kneel to undertake Basic Life Support.

Assessment Method

Continuous Assessment.

Qualifications

An AED certificate, valid for 1 year.
